FALL RIVER, Mass. (AP) – A police detective has told the jury in the murder trial of Aaron Hernandez about a video he made of the former New England Patriots player dismantling his phone and using another phone to make calls the day after the killing.
Jurors saw the video Tuesday after North Attleborough police Detective Michael Elliott testified about zooming in with a surveillance camera on Hernandez when he was sitting in a car outside the police station.
Hernandez is charged with the killing of semi-professional football player Odin Lloyd on June 17, 2013.
Prosecutors have previously said he was using the other phone to call his co-defendant, Ernest Wallace.
Elliott is expected back on the stand Wednesday, and Hernandez's defense is due to continue its cross-examination.
