A system emerging from the Southwest and Southern Rockies into the Southern Plains will spark severe storms across Texas and the Southern Plains today.  Heavy rain may also cause flash flooding.

The system moving from the Northwest into the Central Rockies and Central/Northern Plains will bring heavy snow and blizzard conditions to these regions Wednesday into Thursday.  Blizzard and Winter Storm Warnings are posted as over 12” of snow and wind gusts over 55mph are likely.  On the warmer side of this system, flood watches are posted across portions of the Central Plains as heavy rain is expected.
