A food service manufacturing plant in Conyers, Ga., was on lockdown on Friday morning after a gunman reportedly shot and killed an employee.
Cameron Golden, 18, was taken into custody Friday in Alabama after being located at a Greyhound bus station in Birmingham within hours of the shooting. The victim, identified as Taurus Andrews, has died, according to Rockdale County Sheriff Eric Lavett. He added that Golden was a temporary employee.
Golden walked into the Dart Container Corp. facility at 7 a.m. and started shooting, according to the spokesman for the food service manufacturer, which employs roughly 300 at the plant.

Andrews was rushed to the hospital where he later died. Police had been searching for Golden, who left the plant following the shooting, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
The motive behind the shooting remains unknown.
“We don’t know why Mr. Golden began firing inside of Dart Container,” the sheriff said, according to the outlet. “That is still an active investigation ... We don’t have a whole lot of answers at this time.”
On the Rockdale County Facebook page, police asked the community to stay clear of the area as they gather more details.
"Nearby schools have been placed on lockdown as a precaution and a person of interest has been identified," they said. "Please be patient as we work to obtain more details and information as it relates to this ongoing situation."
Video from the area shows heavily armed police monitoring the area as the lights from police cruisers flashed around the industrial plant. Schools in the area were placed on lockdown as a precaution.

Authorities also shut down a local gas station and told Dion Spencer, one of the station's employees, to stay inside.
“All I know was there was a lot of them out here,” Spencer said of the police presence in the area.
A school bus was brought in around 8:15 a.m. to transport people off the plant, while investigators set up white tents near a security gate, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Conyers police and the Georgia State Patrol are assisting in the search of the suspect.
"Counseling support will be available to our Conyers employees and we will support the affected employee and family throughout this tragic event," the company said in a statement. "The facility will remain closed until further notice."
Conyers is a suburban area in Georgia located about 25 miles southeast of downtown Atlanta.
