Dish Network and Fox News reached an agreement Thursday to put the news network back on the satellite-TV service, ending a three-week fight that had left 14 million subscribers unable to watch the channel.

Terms of the deal weren't disclosed. But The Wall Street Journal, citing people familiar with the talks, said Dish is paying a "significant" increase for Fox News, which is one of the most popular networks, not just among news channels but entertainment and sports services as well.

Dish will also distribute Fox Business Network to more of its subscribers, sources told the paper.

The Fox News Channel as well as Fox Business Network had been off the air for Dish customers since Dec. 21 as 21st Century Fox Inc. and Dish Network Corp. negotiated a new contract.
