The Indiana Fever officially introduced Stephanie White as their new head coach Tuesday.
White takes over for Hall of Fame coach Lin Dunn, who retired after the Fever lost in the Eastern Conference finals to Chicago. White has been an assistant on Dunn's staff for the past four seasons and was promoted to associate head coach this past year.
The Indiana native was one of the Fever's original players when the franchise came into existence in 1999. She played with the team until 2004 before returning later as a coach.
Before playing in the WNBA, White starred at Purdue and led the team to the 1999 national championship. She was also a former Indiana Miss Basketball.
