Miami, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - The Miami Marlins signed pitcher Kevin Slowey to a minor league contract with an invite to spring training.

Slowey appeared in 20 games, making 14 starts for the Marlins a season ago. The right-hander went 3-6 with a 4.11 ERA.

Over his six-year career, Slowey has a 42-35 mark with a 4.58 ERA with the Twins and Marlins.

The Marlins also signed pitchers Jesus Sanchez and Josh Spence, infielder Juan Diaz and outfielders Matt Angle and Joe Benson to minor league deals with invites to spring training.

Finally, Miami extended spring training invitations to right-handed pitchers Anthony DeSclafani, Bryan Evans, Colby Suggs, Rett Varner and Nick Wittgren, left-handed pitchers Adam Conley, Andrew Heaney, James Leverton, Greg Nappo and Justin Nicolino, catchers Austin Barnes and Kyle Skipworth and infielders Danny Black, Mark Canha, Colin Moran and Austin Nola.
