Australian Brendan Jones fired a nine-under 62 on Sunday to earn a victory at the Token Homemate Cup, the first event of the Japan Golf Tour season.

Jones finished at 15-under-par 269, two strokes ahead of Ryuichi Oda, who took second by himself. Oda carded a 65 to come in at minus-13. Mamo Osanai (67) was third at 12-under.

Jones earned his 11th Japan Golf Tour victory with a stunning performance on the back nine. He started the final round tied for sixth and birdied three holes on the front nine to reach nine-under.

After making the turn, he rolled in birdies at 10 and 11, then ran off four in a row from the 14th. Jones parred the last to finish his back-nine 30.

Third-round leader Shingo Katayama couldn't hold on to first place, as he shot just a 69 during a round when many went well below par. He shared fourth place with Hideto Tanihara (65) and Satoshi Tomiyama (67) at minus-11.
