Week 12 of the college football season was filled with plenty of standout performances, highlighted by Travis Hunter's jaw-dropping outing in Colorado's 49-24 win over Utah.
Boise State's Ashton Jeanty had another big game in Boise State's victory over San Jose State, while fellow Heisman contender Dillon Gabriel struggled in Oregon's narrow 16-13 win over Wisconsin.
Here is a look at the current Heisman Trophy odds following a jam-packed Week 12.
Travis Hunter, CB/WR, Colorado: -360
Hunter continues his Heisman march. The Colorado two-way star put on a clinic Saturday afternoon, hauling in five catches for 55 yards and a 5-yard touchdown run on offense, while also adding three tackles and an interception on defense. But it was the fashion in which Hunter made big play after big play in the Buffs' 49-24 win over Utah. One of his catches came late in the second half when he jumped over two defenders and flipped in the air before coming down with a 28-yard grab. His 5-yard touchdown run was nothing short of incredible as he took a reverse, ran backwards 15 yards to escape a defender, and then turned on the jets before taking it up the middle for a score.
Simply said, Hunter is a cheat code, and there's never been a player like him in the college game.
Next: Hunter and the Buffaloes take on Kansas on Nov. 23.
Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State: +400
Another week. Another big outing for Ashton Jeanty.
The Broncos' standout running back carried the ball 32 times for 159 yards and three touchdowns in Boise State's 42-21 win over San Jose State on Saturday night. After getting off to a slow start in the opening half, Jeanty came to life after halftime. He closed out the third quarter with an impressive 35-yard touchdown run, and then added his third score with 2:23 remaining in the game. Through 10 games this season, Jeanty has totaled 1,893 rushing yards and 26 rushing touchdowns.
Next: Jeanty and the Broncos play Wyoming on Nov. 23.
Cam Ward, QB, Miami (Fla.): +1500
Ward stood atop the Heisman Trophy leaderboard heading into Week 11. Oh, what a difference one week can make.
The Hurricanes' senior QB saw his Heisman odds drop to +1500 following his team's Week 12 bye week. Ward completed 25 of 39 passes for 348 yards and three touchdowns in Miami's 28-23 loss to Georgia Tech back in Week 11, the team's first loss of the year.
Next: Ward and the Hurricanes take on Wake Forest on Nov. 23.
Dillon Gabriel, QB, Oregon: +2000
Gabriel did not have his best day, but despite sub-par passing numbers from the standout signal-caller, Oregon was able to hold on and leave Madison with a 16-13 win over Wisconsin to keep its undefeated season alive. Gabriel completed 22 of 31 passes for 218 yards in the victory. He did not throw a touchdown pass and threw a pick on the Ducks' second offensive possession of the game.
Next: Gabriel and the Ducks have a bye next weekend before taking on Washington on Nov. 30.
Jalen Milroe, QB, Alabama: +2800
Alabama's Week 12 matchup against Mercer was never going to be a game where Milroe could elevate his Heisman odds. Those types of opportunities come on college football's biggest stage, like the Tide's road win against LSU last weekend. Milroe took care of business this week, completing 11 of 16 passes for 186 yards and two touchdowns, while adding a team-high 43 yards and a score on the ground. He will have another big opportunity next weekend when the Tide travel to Norman, Oklahoma, to battle the Sooners.
Next: Milroe and the Crimson Tide take on Oklahoma on Nov. 23.
Kurtis Rourke, QB, Indiana: +3000
Rourke and the No. 5-ranked Hoosiers had a bye this weekend following the team's 20-15 win over Michigan back in Week 11. The Hoosiers' senior QB completed 17 of 28 passes for 206 yards, two touchdowns and an interception in the Hoosiers' win.
Next: Rourke and the Hoosiers travel to Columbus to take on Ohio State on Nov. 23.
Jaxson Dart, QB, Ole Miss: +4000
Dart and the Rebels had a bye this weekend following the team's memorable upset win over Georgia in Week 11. The Rebels' senior QB completed 13 of 22 passes for 199 yards, a touchdown and an interception to go with a team-high 50 rushing yards in rainy Oxford to beat Georgia, 28-10. Dart briefly left the game after taking a hard hit on his interception on the first drive of the game, but he hung in there against a vaunted Georgia defense for the remainder of the afternoon.
Next: Dart and the Rebels take on Florida on Nov. 23.
