The NBA's trade season is in full swing now that a majority of players who signed contracts in the offseason are trade-eligible for the first time this season.
That doesn't necessarily mean that there will be a flury of trades between now and the NBA trade deadline on Feb. 6, but that won't stop the rumor mill from churning until then.
Here are the latest NBA trade rumors:
Butler rules out Memphis
Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler wants to be traded before the Feb. 6 trade deadline, just not to the Memphis Grizzlies. According to a report by Chris Haynes on Tuesday, the Grizzlies were one of the teams advised not to trade for Butler.
Butler doesn't have a no-trade clause in his contract, but the player option in his contract allows him to opt of his contract this summer, making him a flight risk for a team he isn't immediately keen on signing an extension with.
Butler is currently serving a seven-game suspension for conduct detrminetal to the Heat.
Beal sets terms
Phoenix Suns head coach Mike Budenholzer benched three-time All-Star Bradley Beal on Monday, leading many to the conclusion that the organization is attempting to pressure him to waive his no-trade clause.
While Beal recently said he hasn't had that conversation with the Suns, a report out of Phoenix revealed the teams he would waive his no-trade clause for: the Miami Heat the Denver Nuggets and the Los Angeles Lakers.
Lakers not trading Knecht
The Los Angeles Lakers, so far, have not included rookie Dalton Knecht or veteran forward Rui Hachimura in trade talks with rival teams, according to a report from Bleacher Report on Monday.
Knecht has averaged 9.7 points per game on 46.7% shooting from the field, including 35.4% from 3-point range, in 35 appearances this season. He figures to be part of the Lakers' long-term plans.
