Looks like Fashion Nova might be getting into the “front thong” market, too.
The online fashion brand, infamous for introducing the Internet to such styles as cut-out pants and lace-up jeans, has now added another controversial item to its roster of revealing clothing: the “Here for Fun Bodysuit.”
SUPER TINY $260 SKIRT LIKENED TO 'BAR TOWEL' ON TWITTER
Described by one social media user as “a thong with arm straps,” the garment began making waves earlier this week after Fashion Nova shared an image of a model sporting the bodysuit on Instagram.
The product – which retails for $24.99 and features a “high side cut” and a “thong back,” according to its official description – almost immediately drew mixed responses from commenters.
“I think she has it on backwards,” wrote one user, whose assessment was echoed by several others.
“This doesn’t even look cute,” another said. “It looks painful.”
“Imagine the wedgie,” someone else pondered.
Others, meanwhile, simply likened the item to “floss” for private parts.
“I wanna know who came up with this and I want them fired,” another user wrote.

And although the vast majority of commenters appeared to be wary of the practicality of the bodysuit, some, admittedly, said they found the look “hot,” or responded to it with fire emoji.
Fashion Nova was not immediately available to comment on the popularity or sales of the item for Fox News.
News of the “Here for Fun Bodysuit” comes just over a month after Boohoo, an online clothing retailer in the U.K., caught some flak over its “Basic V Neck Ruched Front Thong Bodysuit,” which earned attention for its similarly severe cut.
“I understand the [bodysuit] trends but surely this would result in being split entirely in two, or the world’s worst front wedgie,” wrote the woman.

Despite this, Boohoo told Fox News at the time that “customer demand for the bodysuit is huge and the style in question is selling out quickly.”
