To celebrate 50 years of Pop-Tarts, Kellogg’s is releasing five brand new flavors.
Included in the mix is Maple Bacon (although to might not be a good time to mention bacon these days.)
Other flavors include Chocolately Caramel, Frosted Spring Strawberry, Pink Lemonade and Frosted Watermelon. We’re not sure how hot lemonade and watermelon will taste but consumers will find out as the flavors roll out over a six month period.
Kellogg's is describing the savory-sweet breakfast pastry as "maple and bacon flavored filling in a golden crust, topped with sweet white frosting and salty and smoked flavored crunchlets."
Crunchlets? FoxNews.com reached out to Kellogg’s for confirmation on whether the new offering actually contains real pork bacon.
Maple Bacon Pop-Tarts, along with Watermelon and Chocolatey Caramel, will be released mid Dec. and retail for $2.59 a box.
