“The Last Song” turned into Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth’s forever love story and the novel’s author Nicholas Sparks couldn’t be happier.

The author of the romance novel congratulated Cyrus, 26, and Hemsworth, 28, on Wednesday, shortly after the couple revealed they secretly got married over the weekend. Cyrus and Hemsworth met in 2008 while filming the movie adaptation of the novel.

“This makes me so happy. Congratulations @MileyCyrus and @LiamHemsworth. #TheLastSong,” Sparks tweeted in response to Cyrus’ photo from her wedding day with the caption, “10 years later……”

Cyrus responded to the author’s tweet with three heart emojis.
