Shannen Doherty is in remission

Shannen Doherty shared with her fans that her breast cancer is in remission.

Two years after being diagnosed in 2015, the ‘90210’ actress penned an emotional Instagram post on Saturday.

“Today was and is a moment. What does remission mean? I heard that word and have no idea how to react. Good news? YES. Overwhelming. YES,”

The 45-year-old continued, “Reoccurrences happen all the time. Many of you have shared that very story with me. So with a heart that is certainly lighter, I wait.”

Doherty plans to undergo reconstruction surgeries but for now, the “cancer slayer” is feeling fortunate.

“I am blessed, I know that.  But for now… remissions. I’m going to just breathe.”
