Fans of Shakira and Gerard Piqué didn't have to wait long to get a glimpse of the couple's newborn son.
Just two days after Milan Piqué Mebarak was born, Piqué shared a picture of his son's feet to his 5 million followers on Twitter.
Tweeting, "Milan's feet!" the proud dad showed his baby boy sporting some personalized Nike kicks.
Piqué, a defender for the Spanish soccer team FC Barcleona, is an official endorser of Nike products.
A statement posted on the pop star's website said ''just like his father, baby Milan became a member of FC Barcelona at birth.''
On Tuesday, the Latino power couple welcomed their first child in Barcelona, Spain.
In a statement, the couple and the family said "We are happy to announce the birth of Milan Piqué Mebarak, son of Shakira Mebarak and Gerard Piqué ... The name Milan (pronounced MEE-lahn), means dear, loving and gracious in Slavic; in Ancient Roman, eager and laborious; and in Sanskrit, unification."
Born at 9:36 p.m., Milan weighed approximately 6 pounds, 6 ounces, with ''both mother and child in excellent health.''
The baby was delivered by a previously-scheduled Caesarean section by a medical team headed by Dr. Carlota Garcia-Valdecasa.
Prior to the birth, the Colombian singer tweeted, "I'd like to ask you all to accompany me in your prayers on this very important day of my life."
