Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood has become a father again at 68 after his wife, Sally Humphreys, gave birth to twin girls.
Wood's publicist Karen McNamara said in a statement Tuesday that the couple "are delighted to announce the birth" of Gracie Jane, who weighed 6 pounds (2.7 kilograms), and Alice Rose, who weighed 5.7 pounds (2.58 kilograms).
The statement said the babies arrived Monday at 10:30 p.m., "and all are doing brilliantly. The babies are perfect."
The twins are the fifth and sixth children for Wood, who turns 69 Wednesday, and the first for 38-year-old Humphreys, who married the rocker in 2012.
In February, Humphreys flew home from a Rolling Stones tour of Brazil to avoid exposure to the Zika virus, which has been linked to microcephaly in babies.
