"Hateful Eight" director Quentin Tarantino has put his foot in his mouth once again.
Tarantino came under fire for his use of the word "ghetto" while accepting the award for best original score on behalf of "The Hateful Eight" composer Ennio Morricone.
"When I say favorite composer, I don't mean movie composer — that ghetto," Tarantino said. "I'm talking about Mozart, I'm talking about Beethoven, I'm talking about Schubert. That's who I'm talking about."
It wasn't just Twitter who was upset with Tarantino's remarks; as Tarantino left the stage, presenter Jamie Foxx repeated "ghetto" with a bewildered expression before introducing his daughter, Corinne as Miss Golden Globe.
Tarantino also mistakenly declared that this was the first time Morricone had won an award in America despite having won two other Golden Globes and multiple Grammy Awards.
"Ennio Morricone has never won an award for any one individual movie that he has done. He has in Italy, but not in America."
