Kourtney Kardashian is a slave for Y2K style.
The reality star, 42, channeled Britney Spears on Instagram Tuesday, posing in the same super-short black lace Dolce & Gabbana dress the "Toxic" singer wore to the 2001 VMAs.
Both Kardashian and Spears layered a black bra and underwear beneath the sheer mini, although the former also added thigh-high lace tights to her look.
The 2001 awards show was an epic one for Spears; not only did the then-19-year-old turn heads on the red carpet, but she also made pop culture history with her "Slave 4 U" performance, which co-starred a live albino Burmese python named Banana.
It appears the 20th anniversary of one of music’s most memorable moments has been weighing on Spears, who posed in a snakeskin-print bodysuit on Instagram in June, declaring, "I held a snake at the @VMAs one time but decided to go ahead 20 years later and become the motherf—king snake myself."

As for Kardashian, she’s been digging into Dolce & Gabbana’s archives as well as their couture offerings lately, sporting a bevy of looks from the Italian fashion brand on social media and attending the Alta Moda fashion show in Venice, Italy with boyfriend Travis Barker and mom Kris Jenner last month.

With the 2021 VMAs set to take place in New York on Sept. 12, perhaps Kardashian will show up in a snake-themed look.
