Kate Beckinsale is keeping her sassy social media streak alive after a fan questioned her about her friend on Instagram.

The 45-year-old star went to see the Los Angeles Lakers play the Cleveland Cavaliers at the Staples Center in Los Angeles Sunday where she was accompanied by her friend, 29-year-old Stephen Simbari.

HOW KATE BECKINSALE FOUND HER TASTE FOR BLOOD

“Everyone was pretty tense for the game but apparently I’m just here for the fashion and was enchanted by some particularly fire tube socks,” Beckinsale captioned a photo of the duo together at the game.

One commenter asked if Simbari was her son, either in an attempt at humor or a genuinely misguided effort to understand their relationship. Regardless, Beckinsale clapped back with some cutting sarcasm.

“He is my son yes. I kept him in the cellar for 29 years but now I feel I should take him out on jaunts,” She responded to the commenter (via Us Weekly), clearly taunting his or her question.

Beckinsale is the mother of 19-year-old daughter Lily, who she shares with ex Michael Sheen. In the past, there have been rumors about her and Simbari getting romantic. She previously dated Matt Rife, who is more than 20 years her junior. In addition, she was recently rumored to be romantically linked to “Saturday Night Live” star Pete Davidson, who is 25.

After reportedly leaving a Golden Globes party together, Beckinsale and Davidson sparked hook up rumors across the country.

"Pete and Kate were definitely getting their time in together socially,” a source who was at the party told Fox News. "Even though Pete and Machine Gun Kelly were basically attached at the hip all night, Pete and Kate found about 35 to 40 minutes where they got close on the patio."

When one user tried to ask her about the rumors after she posted an image of her mother, the star issued a snappy response.

“Dear heavens, Kate. Not Pete Davidson,” one user commented on Beckinsale’s black-and-white photo of her mother, actress Judy Loe.

"No that's my mother. Easy mistake,” Beckinsale responded to the fan.
