The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 star took over Wednesday night's Late Show to the delight of host David Letterman, and revealed that while she's quite confident in her acting abilities, she can't carry a tune. In the upcoming Hunger Games sequel, Lawrence sings "The Hanging Tree," and she calls the experience "awful." She was hoping they'd dub her voice with Lorde's vocals, but they didn't.
"I cried on set that day and apparently I'm crying all the time," she said. "I'm like scarred from my childhood because I have a southern mother who would just tell me that I was amazing at everything, that I could do everything. But, I can't."

Lawrence then went into a story about how she's always had a "tone deaf Amy Winehouse" voice and when she was 8 year old she sang in front of the school and it was not good ...at how she reenacts the performance now. Belting out "have a holly, jolly Christmas," the actress admitted that even her father laughed for days about her rendition of the Christmas carol.
The actress was on the show for several segments and in that time, took over the hosting desk, planned a fishing trip with Letterman (security included) and had a rather lengthy discussion about bowling. Letterman and Lawrence were so chummy , they even walked off set together.
