Grammy Award winning Puerto Rican singer and guitarist José Feliciano was one of thousands who converged on Graceland to mark the 35th anniversary of Elvis Presley's death Wednesday night.
"It's great to be here in Graceland to talk about 'The King', my friend, my buddy, and everybody I know loved him," Feliciano said of Elvis.
This year, Feliciano, 66, who is best known for the world famous song Feliz Navidad, has honored Elvis with a special album entitled "The King."
"I'm so proud of it because I did it at home in my studio, I played all the instruments and did all of the background vocals," he told Fox News.
Feliciano has been listening to Elvis music since he was 11 years old, according to his website. He got up every morning for a year and a half thinking about his Elvis Presley project.

“With which one can I best honor Elvis without sounding like I’m trying to re-do it, somehow?" Feliciano asked.
This year's annual Graceland gathering of Elvis fans and friends included a special surprise welcome from the King's former wife and daughter, the first time Priscilla and Lisa Marie Presley have appeared together together at the event. Graceland is Elvis' longtime home and his burial place.
"You should see this from our point of view. It's amazing," Priscilla Presley said, standing alongside Lisa Marie. "The candles are lit. It's truly a sight to behold."
The two women were on an elevated stage in front of the crowd Wednesday on the the eve of the Aug. 16 date, when the rock and roll icon died at home in 1977 from a heart attack after battling prescription drug abuse.
"I think they were wonderful," Feliciano said.
