Oscar-winning actor Dustin Hoffman has been successfully treated for an unspecified form of cancer, his publicist says.
"It was detected early and he has been surgically cured. Dustin is feeling great and is in good health." publicist Jodi Gottlieb confirmed to Fox News.
She says he will undergo preventive treatments at his doctor's recommendation to keep the cancer from returning.
Gottlieb provided no other details, including what type of cancer Hoffman had. News of his treatment was first reported in People Magazine.
The 75-year-old, two-time Oscar winner spent the past year promoting his film "Quartet," which marked his directorial debut.
Hoffman is scheduled to film two movies later this year: an adaptation of Roald Dahl's "Esio Trot" and a feature film called "Boys Choir." He wrapped production on Jon Favreau's "Chef" in July.
