Tim Burton’s "The Nightmare Before Christmas" returned for three nights over the Halloween weekend at the iconic Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. The event, done live to film, was backed by a nearly 80-piece orchestra and choir led by conductor John Mauceri.

The film’s composer, Danny Elfman reprised his role as the reigning Pumpkin King, Jack Skellington, singing live to the film. Elfman was also joined on stage by other original cast members Catherine O’Hara (Sally), Paul Reubens (Lock), and Ken Page (Oogie Boogie).

The only endearing mistake of the night came from Elfman himself who rushed one of this cues. The audience responded with cheers and applauses.

Friday night’s show was filled with lots of treat for fans, with many dressed in Tim Burton inspired costumes. Those in attendance enjoyed pre-show activities such as a costume contest, photo opportunities as well as trick-or-treating stations. But the night’s biggest treat…for those who decided to stay a few minutes after the show ended…was when Elfman returned to the stage to perform his 80’s band, Oingo Boingo’s classic hit “Dead Man’s Party.”
