Colton Underwood opened up about his "first love," Olympic gold medalist Aly Raisman.

“The Bachelor” star appeared on “The Lady Gang” podcast Tuesday and revealed the gymnast was not only his “first love,” but also his “worst heartbreak.” Underwood and Raisman began dating in August 2016 after he asked her out in a video, but they broke up after eight months.

“While it was confusing and hard in the beginning, it also taught me a lot about myself, what I need, what I want, what I can do better in a relationship,” Underwood said. “It was, like, a big growing, a big step for me. It was really tough.”

Underwood and Raisman made their relationship red carpet official in December 2016 after they stepped out for the Sports Illustrated Sportsperson of the Year Ceremony in New York City. Raisman told People at the time that they had been secretly dating after they met in Denver, Colo. following the viral video.

Underwood, who is now the lead in the current season of “The Bachelor,” briefly spoke about his relationship with Raisman when he appeared on Becca Kufrin's season of “The Bachelorette,” but the main talking point turned to his virginity.

The former NFL star on Tuesday also spoke about the struggles to remember all the women’s names vying for his love.

"Everyone's like, 'Oh, that first night is so easy,'" he said on the podcast. "I'm like, 'It's not,' because you have a short time to get to know somebody and then you're making a decision. What if, that first night, you're sending somebody home who was just really nervous or really shy?"

Underwood said he initially didn’t tell the “Bachelor” producers he was a virgin during the casting process.

"I casually dropped it in a conversation and then obviously, it got people talking," he said.
