Christy Turlington Burns has a new gig.
The model and philanthropist has become the new face of Apple Watch, the highly anticipated smart watch the company announced today.
Apple tapped the supermodel to try out the Apple Watch. During their announcement, the company showed video of her running a half marathon wearing the watch.
Burns made an appearance during Apple’s live streamed event, walking on stage to banter with CEO Tim Cook. She said she will try to beat her four-hour record in the upcoming London Marathon.
"Apple Watch is going to help me get there," she said.
Burns became a modeling sensation back in the ‘90s, and she has appeared on hundreds of magazine covers. Recently, she has been focused on her non-profit organization Every Woman County, which aims to raise money for maternal health programs.
