Guess there is no hope for reconciliation after all.

Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson has filed for divorce from estranged wife Evelyn Lozada, claiming his marriage to the reality show star is “irretrievably broken,” TMZ is reporting.

The entertainment publication says that the former NFL star filed the documents a Florida court on Thursday, responding to Lozada’s August request to divorce Johnson.

TMZ says Johnson is trying to block Lozada’s efforts to have him pay her legal fees.

The website says that according to Johnson, he and Lozada have a prenup, which he believes should be enforced, particularly when it comes to each party paying for his or her own legal fees.

Sources say that Lozada is “ecstatic,” since calling it quits with Johnson over a fight last month, where she claims he allegedly headbutted her.

In her divorce filing, Lozada claimed her marriage is "irretrievably broken."

The two married on July 4th and the wedding was filmed for a reality series that has since been canned.

The couple's marriage lasted less time than Kim Kardashian's infamous 72-day marriage.

The supposed divorce filing came after the newlyweds got into a fight that landed Johnson in jail and Lozada with a three-inch gash on her forehead.

Johnson was officially charged with misdemeanor battery for supposedly headbutting Lozada during an argument, where Lozada claims to have found a receipt for a box of condoms, which she assumed was Johnson’s.

On Thursday, Johnson pled not guilty to the misdemeanor battery charge, CBS Miami is reporting. Johnson did not attend the arraignment and had his attorney plea on his behalf.

The State Attorney for Broward County, Fla., filed the charge against Johnson on Wednesday.
If Johnson is convicted it is possible for him to spend at least one year in jail.
