Carlos Danger is back and he can help with any P.R. nightmare – hopefully better than his own.
The New York Post is reporting that a top “crisis” public relations firm has hired none other than disgraced former Congressman Anthony Weiner.
The 50-year-old Wiener, who destroyed his own promising political career sexting ladies he should not have been – was hired by MWW P.R. firm, giving his own advice to high-paying clients on how to deal with a scandal, a source told the Post.
Interestingly, one of the company’s clients is Ball Park Franks.
The Post said MWW specializes in crisis communications – ala “Scandal” – and is said to be “pleased to welcome” the former congressman to its “board of advisers.”
MWW issued a statement Thursday morning insisting Weiner would be working solely on policy and not crisis communications.
“Anthony Weiner is an expert on public policy and will not be expected to service clients directly. As a member of our Board of Advisors, he will be a part time consultant to the agency, primarily focused on policy matters and new business development,” MWW said in the statement, according to the Post.
Weiner is well known for his sexting scandal from 2011 when he was forced to step down from Congress for lying about sending an embarrassing image of his penis to a 21-year-old college student in Seattle. Additional photos led to his resignation.
He used the moniker Carlos Danger for some the infamous sexts.
In 2013, claiming he had cleaned up his act, Weiner attempted to run for mayor of New York, but it all imploded after a second sexting scandal. This time, also using the Danger name, he sent pictures of his private parts to then-22-year-old Sydney Leathers.
He did not pull out of the race and finished in fifth place in the Democratic race.
