Boyfriend of 'X Factor' judge Tulisa Contostavlos says sex tape her idea

The former boyfriend of Tulisa Contostavlos -- a judge on the UK version of "The X Factor" -- insists a sex tape the two recorded was her idea.

Rapper MC Ultra -- real name Justin Edwards -- denied releasing the explicit footage which shows the N-Dubz star in an intimate moment with him.

He also backed a legal ban on the video clip and said it should never have been made public.
In a statement at London's High Court on Monday, the 28-year-old said, "I am disgusted it has been [released], and regret ever allowing the claimant to persuade me that we should film ourselves."

After the hearing, he told The Sun, "I'm just relieved to have a chance to tell my side of the story. I just want this sorted out so I can move on with my life."

Edwards was served with a $160,000 claim Friday for alleged breach of privacy and confidentiality by Contostavlos, who accused him of leaking the six-minute video.

He claimed the footage -- published online last week -- was filmed using her phone and he denied he owned it.

Contostavlos, 23, won an injunction last week after the video appeared for download on the internet.

A date for the hearing has not been set.
