Bethenny Frankel didn’t appreciate the season premiere of “Real Housewives of New York City.”
The former Bravo star, 49, blasted the reality series in an interview with “Extra,” saying she felt insulted by the way her cast members talked about her.
“The beginning of the show was the proverbial middle finger to me,” she said. “The women have definitely had some unpleasant things to say about me … I wish them well.”

Luann de Lesseps recently expressed that she felt the current season is the “best yet” because of Frankel’s absence.
“I feel like this season, because [Frankel’s] not there, the women have a place to express themselves and show more of their personality,” de Lesseps told Rob Shuter’s “Naughty But Nice” podcast. “And I think this is the best season yet. It’s like, Bethenny who? It’s the best season ever!”
Though many “RHONY” fans are finding solace and distraction in the show amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Frankel said she felt its doing a disservice to viewers.
“The ratings overall in television have never been higher and perhaps the ratings on ‘Real Housewives’ aren’t doing well because it’s sort of not maybe the content that is inspiring people to do what they need to do right now,” Frankel continued. “Or maybe they want to watch the news or something uplifting or some way to pay it forward.”
Frankel has been dedicating her philanthropy, BStrong, to fighting the pandemic. Last month, she donated 250,000 N95 masks to New York City hospitals.
“We will have distributed over $16 million worth of aid this week and that will grow exponentially,” she told “Extra.”
