2012 NCLR/ ALMA Awards Nominees Include Jennifer Lopez, Pitbull & Selena Gomez

Eva Longoria and George Lopez will once again be hosting one of the biggest nights for Latino celebrities.

The Mexican-American buddies will be hosting the 2012 National Council of La Raza (NCLR) ALMA awards, which celebrates and honors the many milestones and accomplishments of Latino celebrities in entertainment throughout music, television, and film.

Longoria and Lopez have been co-hosting the awards together consecutively three years in a row.

The Alma awards pride themselves in showcasing Latino in the lime light who promote and value Hispanic culture in the media.

The awaited event is set to take place on Friday Sept. 16 at 8pm. NBC will be televising the broadcast.

This year’s nominees include Selena Gomez, Jennifer Lopez, Penélope Cruz, Zoë Saldaña, Jessica Alba and Demi Lovato who both won an Alma accolade last year.

Demián Bichir, Michael Peña, Bobby Cannavale as well as  George and Mario Lopez are also both nominees again this year.

The winners of the ALMA Awards are chosen based on votes by the fans, Box Office figures, Nielsen and Billboard rankings and approval of the NCLR ALMA Awards production leadership team.
