Tom Holland has been part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), fighting off crime as Spider-Man in six movies to date. Holland was born on June 1, 1996. His parents are Nikki, a photographer and Dominic, an author and comedian. He is the oldest of four, and has three brothers named Paddy, Sam and Harry.
Holland's first role in acting was in a play, "Billy Elliot the Musical" where he started off playing Billy’s best friend Michael, but ended up getting the lead role of Billy until he was 14 years old. He made his debut on the big screen as Lucas in "The Impossible" in 2013.
In 2016, Holland got his big break when he entered the MCU in "Captain America: Civil War" as Peter Parker, who is of course, none other than Spider-Man himself. After that release, he got his own feature film as the beloved superhero in "Spider-Man: Homecoming" in 2017. Holland has played Spider-Man in two additional feature films, "Spider-Man: Far from Home" (2019) and "Spider-Man: No Way Home" (2021). He also played Spider-Man in two Avengers movies, " Avengers: "Infinity War" (2018) and "Avengers Endgame" (2019).
In the three Spider-Man feature films, Peter Parker's love interest is Michelle Jones (or MJ) who is played by Zendaya. They not only play two characters in love on screen, but they have also taken their relationship off-screen. Tom Holland and Zendaya don’t share too much of their relationship online, but they have been spotted together on various occasions and if we’re lucky, they will share an occasional lovey-dovey post of each other on their Instagram pages.
In addition to playing a superhero, Holland has been in a multitude of other films. He played opposite Mark Wahlberg in "Uncharted" (2022) and had the leading role in the movie "Cherry" (2021). He also has done animated work including "Spies in Disguise (2019) and “Onward” (2020).
In addition to his acting career, Holland is a part of The Brothers Trust, an organization created in 2017 by his parents. Holland's whole family is involved with this organization, including his brothers. They hold events every year to raise money for various charities.
