Michael B. Jordan

Michael B. Jordan is an actor known for his many popular roles in major films like “Just Mercy,” “Tom Clancy Without Remorse,” "Black Panther" and “Creed.”

Jordan was born on February 9, 1987, in Santa Ana, California to parents Donna and Michael. He moved from California to New Jersey at a young age, spending most of his childhood there. Jordan started his acting career with small parts here and there in shows like “The Sopranos” and “All My Children.” After his small appearances, he started to land bigger parts in popular television shows.

Jordan landed a role in “The Wire” in 2002, “Friday Night Lights” in 2006 and “Parenthood” in 2010. He also was in “Chronical” and “Red Tails” in 2012. His first major leading movie role came in 2013 with “Fruitvale Station,” which was a film festival favorite.

In 2015, he got his first superhero movie with “Fantastic Four” where he played Johnny Storm, also known as Human Torch. That same year, he acted alongside Zac Efron and Miles Teller in “That Awkward Moment” and worked with Sylvester Stallone in “Creed,” where he played Adonis Creed. He played the character again in the second “Creed” movie, which came out in 2018.

“Blank Panther” also came out in 2018, where Jordan played the villain of the film, Erik Killmonger. Another one of his 2018 movies was the HBO adaptation of the popular novel “Fahrenheit 451,” where Jordan played the lead, Guy Montag. He was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for the movie. In 2019, he played lawyer Bryan Stevenson in the movie “Just Mercy” with Jamie Foxx. He was also in the 2021 Action/Thriller "Tom Clancy Without Remorse" and the 2021 drama "A Journal for Jordan."

He has been nominated for a slew of awards for his work in many different movies including a Kids’ Choice Award for “Creed II” and MTV movie award for “Creed.” He won a Screen Actors Guild Award along with the cast of “Black Panther” and an MTV Movie award for “Black Panther.” He was named People’s Sexiest Man Alive in 2020.

Jordan is dating Lori Harvey, who is a model and the adopted stepdaughter of tv host Steve Harvey.
