Kate Upton is a model that rose to fame after appearing in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in 2011. Since then, she has been on the cover of that magazine and many others. The model is married to MLB pitcher Justin Verlander and they have one daughter Genevieve.
Upton was born on June 10, 1992 in St. Joseph, Michigan to parents Shelley Fawn and Jefferson Upton. Upton appeared in Sports Illustrated in 2011 and then appeared on the cover in 2012, 2013 and 2017.
In addition to Sports Illustrated, Upton also has been on the cover of Vanity Fair, Maxim, Vogue, Elle, GQ, Cosmopolitan and Esquire.
Upton has also worked with many different brands such as Guess, Victoria’s Secret, Express, Bare Necessities and Gillette.
Upton has some acting credits to her name. In 2011, she was in “Tower Heist” and was in “The Three Stooges” in 2012. In 2014, she was in "The Other Woman" and was in both “Adult Interference” and “The Layover” in 2017.
Upton has been married to Verlander since 2017. Verlander previously played for the Detroit Tigers and the Houston Astros before joining the New York Mets. The model and the professional baseball pitcher first met at a commercial shoot in 2012 and they got engaged in 2016. In 2017, the pair got married and had their daughter Genevieve on November 7, 2018.
