Harry Styles has released many global hits as a member of the former band, One Direction and now as a solo artist. While still going on tours and producing music, Styles has also been breaking into acting. Styles was born on February 1st, 1994, in England to mother Anne Twist and father Desmond Styles. He got his start in singing back in 2010, when he auditioned for the British "X-Factor" as a solo contestant. During the show, Simon Cowell put him in a band along with contestants Niall Horan, Louis Tominson, Liam Payne and Zayn Malik. This was the moment that One Direction was born.
After ultimately getting third place on the show, One Direction released their first original song, "What Makes You Beautiful'' in 2011, and it was a global hit. One Direction went on to complete four world tours before going their separate ways in January 2016.
After the One Direction era, Styles continued to pursue music as a solo artist, releasing his debut single "Sign of the Times" in 2017. In 2019, Styles released "Fine Line" which featured hits like "Treat People with Kindness" and "Watermelon Sugar." He went on his second tour "Love on Tour'' in 2021. He also "headlined the 2022 Coachella music festival."
Beyond his huge hits, Styles is also known for his fashion. He was the first male cover model of "Vogue in December 2020" where he chose to wear a dress in his shoot. More recently, Styles has dipped into the world of acting. In 2017, he made his acting debut as Alex in the movie "Dunkirk." He is also in "Don’t Worry Darling," which is set to come out on September 23, 2022. ""Don’t Worry Darling"" was directed by Styles most recent girlfriend, Olivia Wilde. The "Lights Up" singer has been linked to other celebrities in the past including Taylor Swift, Kendall Jenner and Camille Rowe.
