BEIJING – Police say a man involved in a property dispute has stabbed six people to death in a Beijing district and injured others.
The microblog of the police's publicity office says the attacks happened around noon Thursday in a village in Huairou district. Beijing covers a large area and some rural areas come under its remit.
The statement says police captured a 34-year-old suspect. Initial investigations have found that a resident in Huairou district's Wanghua village stabbed "many people" with a knife because of a property dispute involving his family. It says the injured have been taken to hospital, but didn't say how many.
