Brazilian news reports say a five-story building under construction has collapsed in the Sao Paulo suburb of Guarulhos.

The G1 Internet portal says there have been no reports of casualties. The collapse happened Monday evening after most workers had left for the day, but it wasn't immediately clear if anyone was still on the site when the accident occurred.

GloboNews television channel broadcast shadowy images of a lot filled with rubble and emergency personnel with flashlights searching for survivors.

The collapse comes just days after a deadly accident at a Sao Paulo stadium that is slated to host the opening game of next year's World Cup. A crane collapsed Wednesday at the Arena Corinthians, killing two construction workers and sparking questions about Brazil's readiness to host the soccer tournament.
