Police have charged a Texas man's widow and stepdaughter in his 2011 death, which came four years after he was shot.

Clifton Police Chief Trace Hendricks said Friday that Sharon Allman, of Waco, and her daughter Misty Lynn Glenn, of Hillsboro, are accused of conpsiring to kill John Wesley Frizzell. Both were arrested Tuesday and freed on $10,000 bonds. They're charged with murder.

Police found Frizzell shot in the head in March 2007. Investigators believed Frizzell had attempted suicide.

Hendricks said new evidence emerged last month. He declined to provide details. Court documents allege Allman and Glenn conspired to kill Frizzell because he abused the family.

Frizzell required nursing-home care after the shooting. He died in January 2011.

No attorneys were listed for the woman to comment on the allegations.
