ELKINS PARK, Pa. – Police SWAT team members have converged on a Philadelphia-area firehouse after a call about an armed man and a report of hostages.
Emergency officials in Montgomery County said the situation at the LaMott Fire Company in Cheltenham Township, about 10 miles north of downtown Philadelphia, was reported at about 10:40 a.m. Tuesday.
Television footage showed at least one man coming out of the fire house with his arms up and later being handcuffed.
TV footage also showed SWAT team members entering the building.
There have been no reports of shots being fired or injuries.
