ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – The former wife of a man charged in the killing of four people in a northwest Illinois apartment in 2008 says the two drove around in a pickup truck that was thick with blood on the day of the killings.
According to The Rock Island Argus (http://bit.ly/1hCgvce ), Holly Sheley testified Thursday that she hadn't seen Nicholas Sheley for days when he showed up on June 28, 2008.
She testified that she was alarmed by the blood, but that she agreed to have sex with him in the truck to "keep the peace."
Nicholas Sheley has pleaded not guilty to killing four people in Rock Falls on June 28. He is already serving life sentences for killing two other men and faces trial in two other deaths in Missouri.
