CLAYTON, N.J. – The mother of a teenage girl accused of setting fire to her family's southern New Jersey home has been released from a hospital.
The Gloucester County Times (http://bit.ly/MHJhgw) reports the woman was released from the Crozer Burn Center in Upland, Pa., on Monday. The woman was taken there following Sunday morning's fire in Clayton, about 20 miles southeast.
The fire also injured five other family members, including the 15-year-old suspect.
The girl is charged with six counts of attempted murder and two counts of aggravated arson. She's being held at the Camden County Juvenile Detention Center.
Investigators believe the fire was set with gasoline. Smoke alarms in the house woke the family members.
Firefighters put the blaze out quickly. Damage was confined to one floor of the single-family home.
