The man charged with the murder of a mother and her two children who escaped from the McClain County Jail in Oklahoma on Sunday after he overpowered a guard, was recaptured, authorities told Fox News.
Shaun Michael Bosse, 28, is charged with three counts of first-degree murder for the 2010 deaths. He fled in 2004 Pontiac Grand Am. The vehicle was later found in Blanchard, parked two blocks from his grandmother's house, Oklahoma Bureau of Investigation spokeswoman Jessica Brown said Sunday evening.
Authorities performed a manhunt for Bosse Sunday and it was unclear what lead authorities to him in Blanchard, Okla. But it was believed he was on foot.
Bosse is charged with the July 23 killings of Katrina Griffin 25, Christian Griffin, 8, and Chasity Hammer, 6. Volunteer firefighters found their bodies in their burned mobile home. Bosse pleaded not guilty.
A medical examiner's report says Katrina Griffin died from multiple sharp force trauma, while Christian died from multiple stab wounds. The report says Chasity died from smoke inhalation and burns from the fire at their home near Dibble.
Brown said at the time that pawn tickets found in Bosse's wallet show he pawned several televisions believed to have been owned by Katrina Griffin.
Bosse was living in Oklahoma City at the time of the killings, but Brown said he was originally from Blanchard.
A preliminary hearing in the murder case is set for Sept. 6.
