Authorities in Washington state have called off their search for a second sniper after looking through a neighborhood and nearby woods where a man suspected of opening fire on a SWAT team and police officers was found dead.

Officers were fired upon Sunday as they responded to reports of a shooting in a driveway. They also found a man with a non-life threatening injury.

Snohomish County Sheriff's spokeswoman Shari Ireton says investigators are scouring the area Monday, but have not found a second weapon associated with the shooting.

They are asking the public to tell authorities if their vehicle was shot at any time Sunday in Snohomish County. The road where the shooting took place is closed to all but local traffic.
