No Apologies
New Jersey Republican Governor Chris Christie late today, defended his use of a state police helicopter to attend his son's baseball game Tuesday night and for one other personal trip.
State police officials say the trips did not cost taxpayers anything extra because the helicopters would have been used for training missions anyway. But, Christie said he will still reimburse the state for the use of the chopper.

CHRIS CHRISTIE, R-N.J.: If me writing a check for $2,100 and a $1,200 check from the State Committee to pay for these two helicopter rides will allow us to focus on the really important issues to the people of the state of New Jersey, then I'm willing to do it. You know what my son said to me afterwards? Afterwards he said to me, "Dad, thanks for coming."

Weiner Roast
The Twitter scandal surrounding New York Democratic Congressman Anthony Weiner was covered by both ABC and CBS network newscasts Wednesday. However, "NBC Nightly News" failed to mention the story even though NBC correspondent Luke Russert interviewed Weiner earlier in the day.
NBC did make time to include the controversy over Governor Christie and the helicopter as well as the retirement of basketball player Shaquille O'Neal.
The Washington Post's Chris Cillizza noted the significance of the Weiner story, writing this afternoon -- quote -- "Anthony Weiner, we can say with certitude that you had the worst week in Washington. Congrats, or something."
Worst-Case Scenario
And finally, former President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney were included in a ranking of the five worst people of all time in an Arkansas middle school yearbook. They were in there with Adolph Hitler, Usama bin Laden and Charles Manson.
The school superintendent called the list an oversight when parents complained.
School officials say they are not sure who put the list in there and they insist the yearbook editing process is now under review.
