This is a rush transcript from "The Five," April 16, 2019. This copy may not be in its final form and may be updated.

DANA PERINO, CO-HOST: Hello, everyone. I'm Dana Perino along with Greg Gutfeld, John Rich, Donna Brazile, and Jesse Watters. It's 5 o'clock in New York City, 4' o'clock here in Nashville, Tennessee, and this is "The Five."

(MUSIC)

PERINO: All right. Welcome to Nashville. We are so excited to be here at the Wild Horse Saloon in downtown music city. We have an amazing crowd here for our big show and country music superstar John Rich cohosting with us for the hour. He took us around Nashville for a special tour, board his red neck, the party bus, and that is coming up later. You're not going to miss that.

Plus, we have a very special guest. Kathie Lee Gifford will be joining us on set. And we're also happy to have the Joe Denim Band perform. Honestly, can we just move here? John Rich, thanks for having us in your city.

JOHN RICH, GUEST CO-HOST: Welcome to Nashville. It's a pleasure to have you guys. This is how it feels in Nashville all the time. Loud country music, everybody is having a great time. A bunch of patriots all getting together just celebrating the American dream. Can I get a hell yeah?

(APPLAUSE)

PERINO: Donna Brazile, you had your 40th birthday in this bar.

DONNA BRAZILE, GUEST CO-HOST: I -- you wouldn't believe this because I know I just look a day pass 25, but I celebrated my 40th birthday here in the city of Nashville right here at the Wild Horse Saloon. I am back. Thank you, Nashville.

PERINO: Jesse Watters, you and I were here last year for the charity celebrity -- the celebrity waiter event.

JESSE WATTERS, CO-HOST: Yeah. It's good to be back in Nashville. I forgot Nashville was Watters' World.

(APPLAUSE)

PERINO: I think it feels like Gutfeld country, too.

(APPLAUSE)

GREG GUTFELD, CO-HOST: Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. Reminds me a lot of Berkeley.

PERINO: Oh, yeah.

GUTFELD: It's like the opposite of Berkeley. It's Berkeley's evil twin. I just think it's unfair that we're the only people in this bar who doesn't have a drink.

PERINO: Yeah.

(LAUGHTER)

(CROSSTALK)

WATTERS: Four of us don't have a drink.

PERINO: We'll let you guess who that is. All right, we have a lot of fun in store, but first we're going to get some political news. Bernie Sanders defending his socialist agenda during last night's Fox News town hall. The 2020 front runner getting combative after releasing his tax returns that showed he's a millionaire. Watch.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

BRET BAIER, FOX NEWS: Your taxes do show that you're a millionaire. You did make a million in 2016, 2017. Your right at the top 61 in 2018, but your marginal tax rate was 26 percent because of President Trump's tax cuts. So why not say, you know, I'm leading this revolution. I'm not going to take those.

(LAUGHTER)

SEN. BERNIE SANDERS, D-VT.: Come on. I am -- I pay the taxes that I owe.

MARTHA MACCALLUM, FOX NEWS: Would you be willing to pay 52 percent on the money that you made. You can volunteer. You can send it back.

SANDERS: You can volunteer, too. We have a --

MACCALLUM: But you suggested -- you suggested everybody in your bracket should do.

SANDERS: Martha, why don't you give? You made more money than I do.

MACCALLUM: I didn't suggest a wealth tax.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

PERINO: Also, Sanders said he never disparaged millionaires.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

BAIER: You do spend a lot of time vilifying millionaires.

SANDERS: Oh, I don't vilify. It's not vilifying. To say that people have a whole lot of money, in some cases billions of dollars of wealth, they should pay their fair share of taxes.

BAIER: Right --

SANDERS: That's not vilifying.

BAIER: last question on this. A lot of millionaires and billionaires give a ton to charity. You gave 3.4 percent.

SANDERS: My wife and I do give money to charity, all right. And we're proud to do what we did.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

PERINO: And Sanders admitting that taxes will go up under his Medicare for all plan.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

SANDERS: Health care is not free --

MACCALLUM: Of course not.

SANDERS: -- suggest that we're going to --

MACCALLUM: You just said it was going to be free for everyone.

SANDERS: It's going to be free at the point of when you use it, OK? If you go -- why are you so shock by this? Are people going to pay more in taxes, yes. But at the end of the day the overwhelming majority of people are going to end up paying less for health care.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

PERINO: So the talk of the town -- well, not just the town but the country, one of the reasons, of course, we wanted to get out of Nashville - - New York City, get out of our bubble, come here and see all of you wonderful people here and talk about this. He's talking about a fundamental change in America and the way that we do government in this country, and business and capitalism. Your thoughts, Jesse.

WATTERS: Bernie Sanders is an ungrateful freeloader.

(APPLAUSE)

WATTERS: Thank you, everybody.

GUTFELD: Quit while you're ahead.

WATTERS: Listen, Bernie Sanders should be thanking the American taxpayer instead of trying to shake us down. He's never had a real job in his life. We pay his salary. We pay for his health care, his staff, his travel, his security. We pay for everything. And all he does is he goes around and makes promises he can't keep and he spends money that we can afford to spend.

Bernie Sanders has never saved anything. He's never budgeted anything. And when he became a millionaire, then he stopped attacking millionaires and started attacking billionaires. And the other thing is when he became a millionaire that first year, he didn't pay his fair share, he actually only paid 1 percent to charity, so he doesn't really put his money where his mouth is. And he doesn't have a health care plan.

All he does is scream about Medicare for all. He doesn't say how the plan works or how he's going to pay for it. So I think a lot of people should be nervous on the Democrat side, if Bernie gets the nomination, you're going to have four more years of Donald Trump as president.

(APPLAUSE)

PERINO: Donna, you want to respond and then we'll get Greg in here.

BRAZILE: Well, as you all know, I am a quote-unquote unattached Democrat.

WATTERS: Yes, ma'am.

BRAZILE: Is it OK if I touch you?

GUTFELD: Yes, ma'am.

BRAZILE: I'm patting these brothers on the back.

WATTERS: That's the Joe Biden rule.

BRAZILE: Yeah.

(LAUGHTER)

BRAZILE: No, it's the Joe Biden rule. You can touch me back.

WATTERS: All right.

BRAZILE: First of all, I want to say that I thought Bernie did a great job. To be on the hot seat last night, I thought he got a very warm reception from the Fox audience. I also believed that he spelled out not just his plan on Medicare for all, which is a plan that is supported by millions of Americans, but he also talked about his vision for the country.

His vision, I think, is in the mainstream. He wants to make sure that we have a living wage. He wants to make sure that children have access to college. And yes, I have to tell you, Jesse, because I read it, he has a plans to pay for everything that he has proposed.

WATTERS: He has a plan and it's just to raise taxes. That's not a plan.

PERINO: Let me get Greg on here. You can -- of course you can comment on the specifics. But I also wonder about his approach. He doesn't care if he's like. He is not going to apologize. He's just Bernie.

GUTFELD: You know what I like about it, you know when we're playing the tape with the sound off if your watching, we have -- he's talking -- he looks like somebody at the counter complaining about the tuna fish salad.

(LAUGHTER)

GUTFELD: It would have been great to show the tape when I said that, but it's OK. Look, I like that part where he got angry. He got angry when they asked him about his success. That's what it's like to be an American, all right? It's when somebody questions your success as though somehow you don't deserve it. At that moment Bernie Sanders went from a socialist to an individual who prides his liberty and that was actually gratifying. That would never have happened on MSNBC or anywhere else.

The real problem here is that we -- every five years, we have to inoculate against socialism because it's not taught in the universities. Basically, capitalism is like a vaccine against the disease of socialism. It eradicates socialism, so you forget that it's there and then it comes back, just like the measles. Just like the measles.

So what you need -- capitalism actually enables socialism to exist, just like a vaccine allows people not to take the vaccine.

PERINO: John Rich, back in the -- we call it the green room, which wasn't really green but it was a lot of fun. We were talking about your perspective on this and how you were raised and how you don't want anyone telling you what you can't achieve.

RICH: Correct. So I was raised by a dad who's a preacher and that was his passion. He wasn't going to make a bunch of money being a preacher but he was called to be a preacher. And so, to fill in the gaps on actual bills that came in, my dad was willing to do any job there was. And I watched him be a night watchman at a bank in Amarillo, Texas. I watch him slug pugs. I watched him sell cars. I watched him give guitar lessons, anything he could do to make ends meet. And he did make ends meet.

And he told me, he said, son, I don't care if you're poor, in the middle, or if you're rich, always know that if you woke up in America today it's one of the best days of your life because people don't have the right to chase the American dream around the world. Work as hard as you want to, son, and dream as big as you can, and remember our constitution does not guarantee as happiness. It guarantees us a right to pursue happiness.

And in the pursuit of happiness should make you happy that you got the right to go for it. That's what it's all about. That's how I go at it.

PERINO: All right, I agree. I agree, all right. As you can tell we're just getting started here in Nashville. We have a great show coming up. Kathie Lee Gifford joined us live on set. Plus, John Rich takes us around Music City on his red neck reverie party bus. But first, a Democratic congressman under fire for comparing Trump's presidency to the devastating Notre Dame fire. We'll be back.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

WATTERS: Welcome back to The Five live from Nashville, Tennessee. Democrats and the media are melting down ahead of the Mueller report being released on Thursday. Democratic Congressman Steve Cohen actually using the devastating Notre Dame fire to attack President Trump. Take a look.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

REP. STEVE COHEN, D-TENN.: What this president has done, and what he's done to the constitution, what he's done with the people's respect for our government, what he's done to the constitution and the rule law is as bad as that fire did to Notre Dame.

He's torching the entire structure of government and the people's respect for it. He was not exonerated, says Mueller. Mueller knows more about that than Barr. Barr was a hit man. Barr was a hit man hired to do his job, he's doing his job.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

WATTERS: And the liberal media lashing out at President Trump and claiming A.G. Bill Barr is behind some sort of cover up.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIPS)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: He's panicking. It's a laughable freak out on Donald Trump's part. He's just spitting out everything he can.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: A lot of people are on spring break. Congress is on recess. They're putting this release as late as possible before Easter weekend when they might get the least amount of attention.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: You've got to wonder why he's doing all of this. What he's doing it now? Is it because he's got reason to fear what's coming?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Barr wants to use this process to try to play down the report heading into a Friday holiday weekend rather than play it up.

(END VIDEO CLIPS)

WATTERS: Well, one of the reasons we wanted to get out of New York City and out of the city was to find out what other people across the country in the heart land are talking about and it's not about the Mueller report, Greg.

GUTFELD: No, they're talking about your hair.

(LAUGHTER)

GUTFELD: I swear if your hair got any higher, it would have its own altitude. I don't know what's going on. But you know what the funny thing is, OK, this Mueller freak out is because -- I guess the reports coming out on Thursday. It's like the media -- they're like drug addicts who found out there's a new cheaper drug on the street and they're getting the craving. They've got the Mueller craving. They should just quit cold turkey.

The problem is they can't quit cold turkey because they sold their audience a bill of goods. They've made it sound like -- they made the Mueller report into the Game of Thrones, right? But it turns out it's going to be like Bobby Ewing's dream. You wake up, nothing's gonna be there, and what are they gonna tell their viewers which are hemorrhaging, CNN losing viewers because they lied to them about this.

WATTERS: Yeah. It looks like the audiences of CNN and MSNBC are hooked on fake news, as Greg says. They neither fix and they have to hear scandalous conspiratorial reports or they're not going to watch.

PERINO: Well, I think that's why you get the hyperbole, right? So you have the comparison to the burning of Notre Dame which was felt worldwide. It was like a gut punch where people watching that beautiful building, the place were so many religious experiences have been held over the years, including by young people who are sitting right here.

So, obviously, it just gets to be a little bit over-the-top. And the thing is if you cry wolf that many times and then there's nothing, then you don't have anything to run on.

BRAZILE: No, I think everybody wants to see it. Look, this coming Friday, I have nothing to do. I don't have to cook. I ate this remarkable chicken here in Nashville. I'm on a crash diet. So I have the munchies and I'm waiting for the Mueller report. See --

GUTFELD: Yes, I tell you.

BRAZILE: I've got the munchies, OK?

GUTFELD: You've got the munchies.

BRAZILE: Four hundred and twenty members of Congress --

GUTFELD: You've got the Mueller munchies.

BRAZILE: I've got the Mueller munchies.

GUTFELD: Yes.

BRAZILE: And I want to read it. I want to read it page by page. I hope there's pictures in it, Greg, because if there's pictures I read it faster. If you give me some liquor, I'll read it quicker.

RICH: Whoa.

GUTFELD: I miss that.

RICH: Welcome to Nashville.

(LAUGHTER)

BRAZILE: I've been hanging out with you guys all day, so I know what to expect. No, but seriously, this -- I'm glad it's coming out. I'm glad we get an opportunity to look at it. I'm glad we get an opportunity to finally say once and for all the country was under attack. We know what happened in 2016. And perhaps we can learn from the mistakes of 2016, and don't let them get repeated in 2020.

WATTERS: We do know what happened in 2016. Trump won.

(APPLAUSE)

WATTERS: John Rich.

BRAZILE: And we also know that Vladimir Putin wanted Trump to win. The question is --

WATTERS: OK. Let's get to John.

BRAZILE: I want to get to John because, you know, I'm enjoying him.

WATTERS: OK.

BRAZILE: And he doesn't have to wear a hat to cover all of that hair. I want to see it because I do believe at the end of the day we as Americans must understand how to defend our country from future cyberattacks. That said, Brother John.

WATTERS: OK.

RICH: Yes, ma'am.

WATTERS: Take it away.

RICH: I think that -- that is not what your average everyday American cares about. That's what I think. I think they care about what their tax rate is. I think they care about, did they get their job back or keep the job they had. And if they did, did their wages go up? That's what I think -- you go back to the Bernie Sanders piece how he sell all these books. How do you think people have money to buy all his books? They got their taxes reduced.

(LAUGHTER)

RICH: Whether they know that or not, that's what happened. And so, you know, I grew up in a double wide trailer in Texas, nothing fancy, and I see all these stuff going on and I know that's how the multitude of Americans actually feel. They don't care about this report. This just a media thing that none of us really care about honestly.

(LAUGHTER)

GUTFELD: Jesse, you actually keep your hair in a double wide trailer.

(LAUGHTER)

WATTERS: My hair is about as high as Colorado, isn't it?

RICH: Higher the hair, closer to God.

WATTERS: That's right.

BRAZILE: But it's all legally your hair.

WATTERS: Yes, all legal. That's all legal. Not edible, though.

RICH: I think we should let a good Nashville girl run their fingers through your hair before the show is over.

WATTERS: All right.

(APPLAUSE)

RICH: Do we have any volunteers? Any volunteers? Come on down.

(APPLAUSE)

GUTFELD: I think that violates some human resources law. You're going to end up getting sued.

RICH: Not in Nashville.

PERINO: Well, here's what I think. This report when it comes out on Thursday, you will have breathless reporting. Like, take a moment -- I just find it very hard to believe that Bill Barr, the new attorney general who has this amazing track record in Washington, D.C., came out and said there's no collusion and basically nothing on obstruction.

I find it very hard to believe that he wasn't being truthful. And so, now the media has built it up that he is a liar? I find that -- I think that they're going to have egg on their face again.

WATTERS: All right. Donna, wipe the egg off in the break, all right? We'll be right back. We have a lot more coming up live from Nashville, including checking out some of the top spots on John Rich party bus. But first, President Trump says he's ready to send illegal immigrants to sanctuary cities.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

BRAZILE: Welcome back to "The Five" live from Nashville. President Trump is attacking Democrats while he stands firm on his plans to send migrants to sanctuary cities.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: It would be a lot easier if Congress would get together and the Democrats would agree to get rid of these loopholes, these horrible and foolish loopholes, the catch and release, and chain migration, and visa lottery.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

BRAZILE: You know, I think the president is on shaky legal ground. Some in his administration believe it as well. And you know members of Congress will oppose it. But some of the migrant, mayors and others are saying bring it on, Mr. President. What's your view, brother?

GUTFELD: I take it you're referring to me, not Dana.

(LAUGHTER) GUTFELD: I think that no one can accuse anybody of illegality if they support sanctuary cities because by its very nature sanctuary cities is illegal, so that opens the doors to any kind of behavior. What I love most about this is that Donald Trump is giving them exactly what they want and they're saying I don't want it. This reminds me --

(APPLAUSE)

GUTFELD: This reminds me of when you -- when somebody brags about their gym routine, what they can lift, what they can squat, and then you asked them to help you move and suddenly they have a bad back.

WATTERS: Greg, I have a bad back.

GUTFELD: There you have a bad back. But that's the liberal mayor. That's De Blasio saying, oh, this is -- wait, you want the migrants to come here and now you don't. Why is it, because of Trump. Put your money where your mouth is. It's only an opinion if you don't -- it's not an opinion if there's no practical belief behind it.

BRAZILE: These individuals have been caught at the border. There are not enough beds. And what the president is proposing out of retaliation because the Democrats are not going along with his plan, is to ship them off to cities, it's costly, on buses, vans, planes, airplanes, your private jet --

GUTFELD: You don't want to have them walk.

(CROSSTALK)

BRAZILE: But this is the point. The point is, is that why not go to Congress if this is what the president believes?

(CROSSTALK)

GUTFELD: Any -- that begins with why not go to Congress never end well.

BRAZILE: Well, the president had Republicans for two years and nothing happens.

WATTERS: Donna, Democrats do with they usually do. They got caught with their pants down.

BRAZILE: Really?

WATTERS: Donald Trump called their bluff and now they're shaking in their boots. This is what happens. For the last two years, Democrats said there's no crisis. We don't need walls. We need bridges. The caravan is just a bunch of women and children. We need workers. Trump is trying to stir up hate and resentment. Then all of a sudden Trump said, OK, you take him then. And then what happened. They totally changed their rhetoric when they've got smacked in the face by reality. If that happened and they sent 30,000 refugees to midtown Manhattan, what do you think Bill de Blasio would do. He'd have a humanitarian crisis. He'd have a political crisis. He can't even handle a snow storm.

BRAZILE: But it seems as though the President is trying to throw everything against the wall to see what sticks and this is not going to stick.

PERINO: I think you know we talked a little bit about this yesterday. He's changing the debate, right. So, he hasn't been able to achieve some of the things to Congress because of Greg says that doesn't - that's not working well. I don't see why the Democrats instead of saying, well that's just - we can't have that. And now their claim for an investigation.

GUTFELD: Good impression.

BRAZILE: Yes.

PERINO: OK. Why don't they just flip the script and say and as President said, well you know that's never going to happen and sorry that you can't achieve anything and you're the worst deal maker ever. OK, whatever. And just sit back instead they have to make such a big deal about it and call for an investigation that--

BRAZILE: That's because the President continue - John you have a point.

RICH: Well. I was just going to say if you really care about the folks that are piling up on the border, do you want them to stay in an overcrowded border town or do you want to send them to Northern California in the upper level districts and zip codes of that state where they can really have a nice meal, nice place to--

WATTERS: I heard the wine in San Francisco is really good.

BRAZILE: Just so you all know sanctuary cities are all over the country not just in big cities, but also small and rural communities. No, it is true. I've studied this issue. The sanctuary cities are all across America. But you know what, I want to say this, I think it's time that Congress and the President get together and try to solve this immigration crisis.

RICH: I agree with this.

BRAZILE: All right. Now, by the way, Kathie Lee Gifford is here. Live here at Nashville. Kathie Lee, come on over.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

GUTFELD: I think that song is about gambling. I'm not sure. Welcome back to The Five for Nashville. That's the Joe Denim band playing live music. Joining us now is TV legend. Don't you hate that? Call you a legend.

KATHIE LEE GIFFORD, TELEVISION HOST: I hate that. You're almost dead.

GUTFELD: You're not there though.

GIFFORD: No.

GUTFELD: You've got more lives than cats. Let's put it that way. I miss you.

GIFFORD: I miss you too buddy.

GUTFELD: What have you been up to?

GIFFORD: Not much.

GUTFELD: You used to talk a lot.

GIFFORD: Mommy again.

PERINO: Congratulations.

GIFFORD: I know. I'm thrilled about that. I knew that was coming. I just didn't know when it was going to happen.

PERINO: It's sort of a long walk up to the - because you announced quite a while ago that you were going to leave The Today Show. What's it been like in the last, was it 10 days or so?

GIFFORD: I think so I've lost - I mean--

PERINO: You're not counting.

GIFFORD: I'm not counting because I had given my notice two years before because I knew it was time. You know you've run out of tick tock in life and there are things I wanted to do and been dying to do, and you've just got to make time for certain things. And I've been so blessed to be there for 11 years and make the friendships that I had. But it was time.

GUTFELD: You're like a block away from us, but we never stop by - you never stop by. We're like down the street from you.

GIFFORD: Like NBC lets me go over to Fox. Come on.

PERINO: But now you're free.

GIFFORD: Now I'm free, I can go anywhere. I'm going to do some porn. Right. I think why not.

PERINO: I thought you would say, documentary.

GUTFELD: I think that might be first for Fox News. Kathie Lee Gifford and she is doing porn. For News. If that doesn't make it into the primetime.

GIFFORD: It just makes me happy to say that. I don't know why. It's so ridiculous. I love it.

GUTFELD: Why is it ridiculous.

GIFFORD: Well, because there actually are some really strange sick people out there that actually like--

GUTFELD: Talking about Jesse by the way.

WATTERS: Thank you.

BRAZILE: Can I ask you a question? You have written so many remarkable books including party animals and I have - my godson is three years old and I understand you are about to write another book or release a book, right?

GIFFORD: No, I have two books out right now. One's called the Rock the road and the Rabbi. It's about my rabbinical trips to Israel.

BRAZILE: Great.

GIFFORD: And then I have a little book for children called The Gift that I Can Give which I'll give you one of those for your--

BRAZILE: Thank you.

GIFFORD: I love to write. I have a little short film out right now called The God Who Sees. Look at how I segue from porn to The God Who Sees.

GUTFELD: I know, and children's books.

GIFFORD: And children's books.

PERINO: You've won our attention.

GIFFORD: I know. It's a song that I wrote with an incredible artist named Nicole C. Mullen and we didn't know where it was going to take us. It's 11.5 minutes. It tells the story. There is Nicole. Tells the story of Hagar into Ruth into David and their wilderness experiences. We shot it in Israel about a month ago. And then to Mary Magdalene, the empty tomb in Jerusalem. But it's having a powerful effect on people because it really - that's the first time that God is mentioned, a name for him in the Bible.

And so, God who sees and you think about it. Hagar look at it, everybody thinks the Bible is like this 5,000-year-old dusty book that has no relevance. Hagar was sex trafficked. Hagar was a slave. Hagar was a single mother. Ruth was an immigrant and she was a widow who'd felt like she had no future left for her. Then you go to David, who's supposed to be the king, he's been anointed, but now he's hiding it and he's probably - if he had drugs back then he'd be on every - all the drugs everybody because he's terrified in fear and in despair. And then Mary Magdalene had mental illness.

WATTERS: Kathie Lee. Speaking of God, how is Regis doing?

GIFFORD: Regis is good. Regis is really good. He lives in California now in the winter time, so I don't see him much unless I'm in LA. But he comes back to Connecticut and we hang out a lot in the summertime. We're still so close.

RICH: I have to get a question in. How do you like Nashville so far?

GIFFORD: You know how I - the first place I came, the first party I went to is your house.

RICH: Yes, ma'am.

BRAZILE: I wasn't invited.

RICH: You've got to go.

PERINO: What's it like to have Kathie Lee in Nashville.

RICH: It was unbelievable. You know we love you because you're so genuine and you're a real country girl and this town has all the fireworks of entertainment, everything else, but it's a down to earth country. Right here in the middle of the country too.

GIFFORD: You know what I love so much about it. What I do not miss about the northeast is the arrogance of it and--

RICH: People like Greg.

GIFFORD: No, I've got great friends up there too. I don't mean this as a blanket statement, but as a culture. It's a glitchy gotcha kind of a culture and after 35 years of it, I just said you know what I want to hang out with people that love God, love my wine, love music, love our country.

RICH: Dr. Pepper.

GUTFELD: Still making wine?

GIFFORD: You bring the--

RICH: Bingo.

GIFFORD: Whiskey.

RICH: I'll bring the wine.

GIFFORD: That's right.

RICH: I mean horse about Nashville time.

GIFFORD: There you go.

RICH: Let's get this going right now.

GUTFELD: What is happening here. All right.

RICH: We're having a moment, Greg. We're having a moment.

GIFFORD: This is a big - I'm done.

GUTFELD: We're going to do this again you know.

GIFFORD: OK. Where?

GUTFELD: I don't know later tonight.

WATTERS: Greg, she's joking about the porn career.

GUTFELD: You mentioned support in one segment. Up next.

GIFFORD: How is your wife by the wife.

GUTFELD: She's good. She's great. She says, hello.

GIFFORD: She is a mad Russian. I'm not getting into her way.

GUTFELD: You're a mad Russian.

GIFFORD: I am too.

GUTFELD: All right. John Rich gives a tour of Nashville of what is Redneck Riviera party. That's next.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

RICH: We found out my buddies were coming in Nashville City, Music City, USA. I know I had to sell them a big and rich town. So, I took them out on the town. Check our good time today.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

PERINO: All right. Hey, everybody we're here at Nashville. We've been waiting for this for a year. Jesse and I did the charity event last year and we brought back our pals.

GUTFELD: Pals.

PERINO: Pals, Greg Gutfeld.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Co-worker.

WATTERS: Greg, why are you wearing sunglasses inside?

GUTFELD: Fans.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Everywhere.

PERINO: So, do you know who is picking us up?

WATTERS: Who?

GUTFELD: No.

PERINO: John Rich. Let's go meet him.

WATTERS: Let's check out the bus.

GUTFELD: He picked me up once before.

PERINO: Off the floor.

GUTFELD: Off the floor, on the floor. Wherever we go. There it is.

PERINO: There he is.

GUTFELD: How are you doing?

PERINO: John Rich.

RICH: Welcome.

GUTFELD: All right.

PERINO: All right.

RICH: Good to see you. How are you?

WATTERS: Good to see you John.

RICH: Your chariot awaits.

RICH: Is Greg driving?

PERINO: John Rich, you really came through.

RICH: Well, you know guys nothing but the best for The Five.

WATTERS: So, where are we going now?

RICH: So, the first place we're going Jesse is a secret.

WATTERS: OK.

RICH: Because I've spent a lot of time setting up. What's up guys. So, you're going to be - really a big surprise at first place we go. So, come on up. So, you guys are going to have to wait. This is top secret. All right. We'll be back in a minute. Come on guys.

PERINO: Bye.

GUTFELD: Hello. How are you? Excellent.

WATTERS: I worked up an appetite.

RICH: Me too. So, we've got this thing in Nashville called Nashville Hot Chicken. That's sound good for lunch.

PERINO: Yes.

WATTERS: Shut up.

RICH: I'm going to go eat some chickens. Nashville Hot Chicken here we come.

WATTERS: It is hot.

RICH: How are you feeling Jesse? Walk us through the pain?

WATTERS: I need some milk.

RICH: There we go.

GUTFELD: Look at that.

WATTERS: I'm actually sweating, can you see it. Stop.

RICH: You are ready go get some bird. Follow me. Let's go. Can you spin. Because if we go dancing, I need a little chicken spinning around. Like that. You're coming close like this and go back. I always want to see you down at my bar.

GUTFELD: Yes.

RICH: On a count of three give me a hell yes, say one, two, three.

WATTERS: Hell yes.

RICH: Here's to you guys. Cheers. Cheers everybody.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

RICH: OK. That was a lot of fun, right.

PERINO: Lot of fun.

RICH: We packed a lot into the day. How proud of you are in Nashville Tennessee tonight. Jesse, I have to ask you how is the recovery effort going on right now with the hot chicken.

WATTERS: I don't feel so good.

RICH: I think you did pretty good though.

WATTERS: For Yankee. I think I did great for Yankee.

RICH: You did good. You held in there and you did take on the poultry Geist.

WATTERS: Yes.

RICH: Which is the hottest chicken that they have.

WATTERS: The ghost pepper.

RICH: Yes. Ghost Pepper. The Virginia Creeper. I mean all this.

WATTERS: Scorpion pepper.

PERINO: Carolina.

GUTFELD: As you know though it's not about going in.

WATTERS: Greg.

RICH: So, as we know Greg has a completely different angle on this entire story. You're all about taking it in and you're all about--

GUTFELD: Taking it out.

RICH: OK.

GUTFELD: That's why I learned that long ago.

RICH: Well, how did you feel walking through our town today. I just wondered like Dana I know you're a country music fan.

PERINO: OK. So, kid in a candy store, like this is my candy store, Nashville. I love it. And having it - and then this happened, this happened, you took us down to Music Row and we had some special, a little secret thing coming tomorrow.

RICH: We do.

PERINO: That is - really, this is one of the best days of my life.

RICH: And I have to say that was pretty fun dancing with you.

BRAZILE: Oh my God!

RICH: Did you have a good time today.

BRAZILE: Like my beloved city of New Orleans, this is like my second favorite Southern city, so I want to thank you the people of Nashville. Once again you make us feel like home. So, thank you.

RICH: God bless you.

BRAZILE: God bless you.

RICH: Well, welcome to Nashville. You're welcome back any old time. I think we're going to hit Redneck Riviera when the show is over. It's going to be good.

WATTERS: All right.

RICH: Thanks guys.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

PERINO: All right, it's time now for One More Thing. I am going to go first, we want to thank the Wild Horse Saloon, the hospitality. How you welcome this here and all of our fans. I also want to thank, The Joe Denim band, amazing performance. Thank you, John Rich. Can we thank the Fox News crew who stayed up all night? Making this happen. So, thank you guys so much. I have a quick One More Thing. A call to honor has been put out to - for a Middle Tennessee veteran. He recently passed away. He has no known relatives.

There is a group called Rebel Joe (ph) and has issued the call for a U.S. Army infantryman Charles Billy Johnson. He is a Vietnam veteran. He's been laid to rest tomorrow morning. His funeral will take place at the Middle Tennessee veteran's cemetery. It's located at 7931 McCrory Lane in Nashville. Tomorrow at 10 AM. He was known for his warm smile, kindhearted and gentle way and those who know him are hoping that you will give him the sendoff he deserves, so if you can make it there to the funeral at Nashville, I know that they would really, really appreciate it.

All right. Greg Gutfeld.

GUTFELD: Well, I think we can all agree what you're really here for. Animals Are Great. All right. You know when you're at a bar you meet somebody and then things just like fall apart, you never know what you're doing. Check out these dogs. This dog likes this dog so much, so much that he actually puts his entire head inside the dog's mouth. I believe it happens right around there. Doing a little bit of dental work. We've all had dates like this, it never really ends well. And you wake up and you wondered what the hell just happened. And that is why, Animals Are Great.

PERINO: And Greg--

GUTFELD: Who would have thought?

PERINO: Greg, you've forgot to point out that these (ph) are great. That was a baseless (ph).

GUTFELD: Was that a baseless (ph), you little pervert.

PERINO: Jesse.

WATTERS: I don't know if I can top that one, but last night the NBA was a huge night. The Los Angeles Clippers pulled off the biggest come from behind victory in NBA playoff history down 31 points and they came back. At one point they had a 0.1 chance probability they would win. Kind of like what the New York Times gave Trump of winning, but they did. They came back and they pulled off a huge victory and I think one of the owners Steve Ballmer was freaking out in the stands if he could show the big man right there, losing his mind.

Big win for the Clippers. Never give up everybody.

PERINO: That's what our fans are like here in Nashville. So much fun. All right, Donna Brazile.

BRAZILE: Absolutely. I love Nashville. I love country music, but you all know that Aretha Franklin was born in Memphis, Tennessee. She made history one more time. Aretha Franklin, the Queen of Soul was awarded a special citation prize this week making her the first individual woman to earn the Special Prize since to honor was awarded in 1930, the blitz of board game (ph), Mr. Franklin, a prize for her contribution to music and culture for more than five decades. The Queen of Soul may be gone, but she lives on forever.

PERINO: John Rich close this up.

RICH: I would like to say a shout out to my friend, honor these guys right here on my T-shirt. They put kids to college who lost a parent in combat or a spouse to college who lost her spouse. My brand Redneck Riviera supports that brand, that model in every single way and shape and form. I want to say to every single police officer, fireman, first responder, active duty or veteran in this room. God bless you for your service. We love you guys and gals. Thank you.

BRAZILE: We love you.

RICH: Thank you.

PERINO: All right. We have enjoyed Nashville beyond. It was a dream come true. I can't wait. I hope that you will tune in tomorrow because honestly you are just not going to believe how awesome the thing is that we're going to show you. We'll see you back there. We'll be in New York. "Special Report" is up next.
