Credit cards can help in a pinch, providing the wiggle room we often need to make a purchase. But how do you know if your interest rate is too high -- or if you're actually getting a good deal?
This is where Nerdwallet comes in handy. Nerdwallet is a source for finding the best credit cards for your spending habits. It asks what type of rewards you'd like, what your payment habits are, and what you expect your balance to be.
It analyzes over 1,700 different credit cards. Then it displays a list of cards that fit your criteria and what deals those companies are offering.
Of course, this is just a jumping off point. You can use the results to apply for a card online. Or you could call the card company and see if they could offer you something better.
