My family's health is important to me, so I pay careful attention to food labels when I'm shopping. But there's more to proper nutrition than labels. You want to make sure your entire diet is balanced.
There are many of sites online that offer nutrition advice and dieting tips. Not all are accurate.
That's why I like The Nutrition Source. The site is run by the Department of Nutrition at Harvard's School of Public Health. So, you know that the information is trustworthy.
You can start by learning more about food groups and balanced eating. Then, check the detailed food guides. Find out how to pick the best sources of protein, learn about vitamins or how to prevent diabetes.
You'll find helpful tips on making wise choices whether ordering from a menu or filling a plate at a holiday potluck. There is even a selection of excellent recipes.
