Reward Offered to Find Missing Fort Campbell Soldier

FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. – A $5,000 reward has been offered for information about a soldier missing from Fort Campbell and the case has been turned over to the post's Criminal Investigation Division.

Officials are not saying if they suspect foul play in the disappearance of Spc. Jessiah D. Jameson, who was last seen on Nov. 16 at the Kickers Country Club in Clarksville, Tenn.

Jameson, a soldier with Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 2nd Battalion, 506th Infantry Regiment, had returned to Fort Campbell two days earlier on leave.

His wife, Erin Jameson, said she planned to join her husband in Clarksville, where they had rented a house. Erin Jameson and other family members flew from Washington state last week to help with the search.

"They had helicopters out all day (Tuesday), and they had boats on both rivers and (search and rescue) dogs, as well as about 40 soldiers combed the area," Erin Jameson said.

Erin Jameson said her husband left his car at Kickers and took a cab across the street to the Quality Inn because he had been drinking. Police found the soldier's debit card in the parking lot of the club, she said.

"He was put in a taxi, and he never made it to the Quality Inn," she said. "The cab driver said he did drop him off."

Christopher Grey, spokesman for CID, declined to comment about the case because it's an ongoing investigation.

Grey said Jameson is not considered Absent Without Leave as of now.
