Toronto, ON – Thaddeus Young scored 17 points, leading six players in double-figures, and the 76ers earned a much-needed 93-75 win over the Raptors on Wednesday.
With the win Philadelphia pulled within 2 1/2 games of the Celtics for the top spot in the Atlantic Division and moved 1 1/2 games ahead of the Knicks for seventh place in the Eastern Conference. Both Boston and New York are in action Wednesday night.
Nikola Vucevic added 12 points and Elton Brand finished with 11 and eight rebounds for the Sixers, who have won two straight for the first time since winning three in a row from March 7-11.
Alan Anderson and Ed Davis scored 13 points apiece to pace the Raptors, losers of four straight. They were again without leading scorer Andrea Bargnani, who is suffering from tightness in his calf.
