FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) — Joe Weik had two home runs and six RBIs, Taylor Featherston hit a three-run homer and TCU defeated Arizona 11-5 in the Fort Worth Regional on Saturday night.
Weik and Jason Coats added run-scoring singles, and Bryan Holaday scored on a wild pitch for the Frogs (48-11), who will face the winner of Baylor-Arizona on Sunday.
Trailing by five in the fifth, Arizona (34-23) scored twice, highlighted by a solo home run from Josh Garcia. The Wildcats also scored single runs in the seventh and eighth.
TCU freshman left-hander Matt Purke (13-0) earned the victory, allowing four runs — three earned — on six hits with two walks and nine strikeouts over 6 1-3 innings.
