Birmingham, England (SportsNetwork.com) - Aston Villa announced on Tuesday the club has made winger Scott Sinclair's loan deal permanent, signing him to a new four-year contract.
Sinclair, 26, joined Villa from Manchester City in January and scored three goals in 11 appearances for the Villans, who will vie for the FA Cup against Arsenal later this month.
"This is the happiest I have been in a long time," said Sinclair, who started only three times for Manchester City. "I believe that will help me perform better and push on for this great club in the coming years."
Sinclair began his professional career at Bristol Rovers before joining Chelsea in 2005, but played only five times for the Blues and had six loan stints during his time in west London.
He moved to Swansea City in 2010 before heading to Manchester City in 2012 for a transfer fee of around 8 million pounds.
