Detroit, MI (SportsNetwork.com) - The Minnesota Twins have placed outfielder Shane Robinson on the family emergency list and recalled outfielder Aaron Hicks from Triple-A Rochester.
Robinson must remain on the list for three to seven days. He is batting .315 in 22 games this season, his first season with the Twins after playing parts of five years with the St. Louis Cardinals.
Hicks, who batted just .201 in 150 games over the past two seasons with the Twins and didn't make the team out of spring training, was off to a solid start at Rochester. He was hitting .336 with 14 RBI in 27 games for the minor league club.
